This association holds a number of meetings during the year on various topics with the primary focus issues related to weapons technology. The technical papers presented however often have important information that is also useful for entertainment pyrotechnics, especially signal devices, anti-missile flares, safety in manufacturing, storing and handling of energetic materials, etc.

The International Autumn Seminar on Propellants, Explosives and Pyrotechnics will be held here October 8-11, 1997. Also available are past proceedings from the first, second and third International Symposium on Pyrotechnics & Explosives. Contact: Prof. FENG Chang-Gen, Mechanics and Engineering Dept. of the BIT.
The IPS holds 3 day seminars every year where technical papers on pyrotechnics and energetic materials are presented. They are generally held in Colorado, USA in even years and outside of the US in odd years. Proceedings are published and available as well.

Annual conference is held in the USA usually every January or February, often in a warm weather city. Papers, presentations and seminars on blasting and commercial explosives, regulations and other similar issues.
The Symposium is held every two years and consists of formal presentation of technical and artistic papers, a trade show, and demonstrations and displays. The Proceedings and other materials are included.
